Shimmery threads and jewel-like flecks of colour turn this miniature crochet bag into a playful statement accessory for a fashion doll wardrobe. The rounded shape gives the bag a cute little handbag silhouette, while the crochet handle makes it easy to slip over a doll’s hand or wrist. Using a dark multicoloured sparkle yarn makes the brighter strands of pink, blue, green, gold and purple stand out beautifully, giving the finished bag a fun evening-glam feel that pairs especially well with colourful doll dresses.
Designed for 10.5”–11.5” Fashion Dolls
This crochet bag is designed as a miniature accessory for fashion dolls approximately 10.5” to 11.5” tall. Its petite proportions work nicely alongside doll-scale clothing without making the accessory look oversized. Because yarn thickness, hook size and individual crochet tension can slightly change the finished measurements, you can also adjust the handle length to suit the particular doll you are styling.

Yarn, Hook & Supplies for This Mini Project
You’ll only need approximately 5–10 yards of yarn for this tiny project, making it a lovely way to use a small amount of leftover yarn from another crochet project. I used a dark multicoloured sparkle/glitter yarn with colourful metallic-looking accents, but you can recreate the bag in black sparkle, pink, silver, gold or any colour that complements your doll’s wardrobe. A worsted-weight acrylic, cotton or cotton-blend yarn can be used, with a sparkle or glitter variety adding the special shimmery effect. I recommend a 2.5 mm crochet hook for creating the compact stitches needed for doll-scale accessories. You’ll also need scissors and a yarn needle for weaving in the ends.
