A Little Rose Garden In Crochet
Soft pink crochet, a tiny dimensional rose bud and two leafy green accents give this fashion doll tube top the prettiest miniature garden-inspired look. The simple strapless silhouette lets the floral detail become the star of the blouse, while the textured crochet stitches add plenty of handmade charm. I especially love how the deeper pink rose stands out against the lighter pink bodice, with the green leaves adding just enough contrast to make the flower pop.
Fashion Doll Sizing & Fit
This crochet blouse is designed for fashion dolls approximately 10.5”–11.5” tall. Since doll body shapes can vary slightly, it is always a good idea to fit the crochet piece around your doll as you work. You can easily adjust the starting chain if you need the tube top to fit a little more snugly or loosely around your particular doll.
Download The Pattern & Follow Along
I have put together a free PDF crochet pattern and tutorial to make recreating this little rose bud blouse easier. The tutorial includes a step-by-step guide, so you can follow the construction of the tube top and crochet the miniature rose bud and leaves. Yarn, Colours & Hook Size
This is a wonderfully small project, so you only need a tiny amount of yarn. Approximately 10–15 yards of pink yarnshould be plenty for the tube-top bodice, with just a few additional yards of deeper pink yarn for the rose bud and green yarn for the two leaves. I recommend worsted-weight acrylic, cotton or a cotton-blend yarn paired with a 2.5 mm crochet hook. Because yarn thickness and crochet tension can affect the finished size, check the blouse against your doll while crocheting and make small adjustments where needed.
A Sweet Piece For Mixing & Matching
The finished rose bud tube top is especially cute for creating soft, colourful fashion doll outfits. Pair it with a tiny gingham skirt for a coordinated pink look, or mix it with denim skirts, shorts, trousers or a flowing maxi skirt. You could also crochet several versions in different flower and bodice colours—think lavender with a cream rose, pale blue with a white flower, or soft yellow with a pink rose—to create a whole miniature floral wardrobe.
