Retro Glamour in Crochet
Bold pink crochet meets a deep blue sparkling brim in this Crochet Retro Sparkle Fashion Doll Hat, giving this tiny accessory a wonderfully playful mix of retro fashion and handmade charm. The textured crochet stitches create a chunky, slightly oversized crown, while the fuzzy blue glitter yarn forms a statement brim that frames the doll’s face beautifully. I especially love how the bright pink and shimmering blue look together—the combination feels fun, glamorous and just a little nostalgic, making this hat an adorable finishing piece for a fashionable doll outfit.
Designed for 10.5″–11.5″ Fashion Dolls
This crochet hat is designed for fashion dolls approximately 10.5 inches to 11.5 inches tall, including many Barbie-size dolls. The finished hat has a fitted lower section with a fuller textured crown and decorative brim. Because different fashion dolls can have slightly different head sizes and hairstyles, I recommend trying the hat on your doll as you crochet. This makes it easy to make small adjustments when necessary, particularly if your doll has very thick or voluminous hair.

Yarn, Colours & Crochet Hook
You only need a small amount of yarn for this miniature project—approximately 10–15 yards of pink yarn and 5–10 yards of blue glitter/sparkle yarn should be plenty, although the exact amount can vary depending on your tension and the particular yarn you choose. For the main section of the hat, I used pink yarn, then switched to blue glitter/sparkle yarn to create the contrasting brim. A worsted-weight acrylic, cotton or cotton-blend yarn works well for the main hat, and you can introduce a metallic, glittery or sparkly yarn for the brim to recreate the retro-glam effect. I recommend using a 2.5 mm crochet hook to keep the stitches compact and nicely proportioned for a fashion doll.
